a superb, steady working bitch with a fabulous personality and temperament ... half sister to Meg (sired by FTCh Rytex Rod) and producer of some excellent puppies. She is now retired from the working field and still enjoying life.

B&W English Springer Spaniel bitch; Lace ... Cowernecourt Berberis at Verstone

Lace is a B&W hard going bitch, who's background is predominantly Badgercourt breeding and she has spent the last three seasons working on various shoots in the Lake District ... beating, picking up and also as an excellent peg-dog. Now four years old, Lace has had two litters of pups and it is planned for her to have a third and final litter next year (2007)

L&W English Springer Spaniel Dog; Bramble ... FTAW Highmoor Mist at Verstone 

Sired by FTCh Gorsty Guss of Flintmountain and himself a Field Trial Award Winner, Bramble has qualified for inclusion in the Kennel Club Stud Book, Bramble is a powerful working Springer with an excellent nose and drive, excelling in all areas of Gundog work. Born 21/06/93 he is now retired from full-time in the working field, but still enjoys the occasional day beating, picking up or as a peg dog.

Born 2004, Beth is one the latest Verstone Springers. Her training has progressed well and she has been working this season 05/06 both in the Beating line and unusually for such a quick dog - as a steady Peg dog, also picking up.

Her Sire is: Verstone Rainbow Dream (Rik) and her Dam is: Cowernecourt Berberis at Verstone (Lace).

Born 2004, Lizzie is full sister to Beth & one of the latest Verstone Springers. Her training has progressed well; she has an excellent nose, is deceptively fast and has been working superbly beating & picking up on local shoots throughout this last season. Liz has a wonderful temperament, is a very gentle dog and natural retriever.

As with Beth, her Sire is: Verstone Rainbow Dream (Rik) and her Dam is: Cowernecourt Berberis at Verstone (Lace).

Niks is a 5yr old Liver & White English Springer Spaniel and a proven sire; a well built, strong & powerful dog, with an excellent temperament - he is really at his best when faced with tough cover to hunt, he has excellent drive and this combined with natural game finding ability, with a superb nose he is an excellent dog to work ... to shoot over, picking up or in the beating line.  Niks is a natural retriever and has a soft mouth, he is 100% sound and is very level headed.... level headed enough to be used for the BETA advertising brochures - sample shown below  

Bred by Ian Christie and thanks to training/handling by Chris Wadsworth he has had a great deal of success in Field Trial competition, including winning a Novice Spaniel Trial (Gamekeepers National Assoc Novice Stake, July 2003) and an Open Field Trial (The Lothian and Borders Gundog Association Open Stake, November 2005) and subsequently he qualified for the Spaniel Championships this year (2006) and it is hoped that he now goes onto gain further awards.
